Dennette Paige Gibbens, 49, passed away on October 27, 2009 after a courageous battle with Cancer at Kearney, NE.

She was born on February 26, 1960 to Henry and Donita (Phillips) Vogt at Gothenburg, NE. She grew up and attended school in Gothenburg, NE. She graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1978. She attended the School for Cosmetology in Omaha. On July 12, 1979, she married Leonard Gibbens in Colorado Springs, CO. Dennette lived in Kearney, Nebraska.

Dennette drove truck on the family farm for her father before going to work for the Nebraska Department of Roads. She later worked as a Dispatcher for Nebraska Bye Products. Dennette moved to Mooresville, NC where she worked as a Truck Driver for Cowan Transportation out of Baltimore, MD. She returned home to Nebraska in 2008 due to her battle with Cancer.

Dennette enjoyed crafts, wood working, stock cars and stock car racing.

Dennette is survived by her son - Justin (Brittany) Gibbens of Kearney, NE; granddaughter - Charisma Gibbens; father and step-mother Henry R. and Betty Vogt of Gothenburg, NE; brothers - Robert Vogt of North Platte, NE; Henry Kirk Vogt of Gothenburg, NE; Step-Brothers- Don (Gayla) Malcom of Cozad, NE; Dave (Marilee) Malcom of Eustis, NE; Step-Sister- Deb (Allen Barnett) Malcom of Charleston, SC; Nephews- Chris (Jen) Vogt of Lincoln, NE: Daniel (Jessica ) Heimbuch of Memphis, TN; Matthew (Alisha) Heimbuch of North Platte, NE; Hobie Vogt of St. Robert's at Ft. Lenardwood, MO and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mom Donita, niece Natasha and her grandparents Roy and Agnes Vogt and Delmond and Ella Phillips.
