Darrel Buesing, 86, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died July 24, 2020 in Kearney, NE.
Darrel was born November 8, 1933 son of George and Margaret (Buss) Buesing. Darrell attended grade school at Rock Island Table. He worked for Dr. Pyle after school throughout high school.
Darrel married Betty Gillespie and to this union four children were born: Mona, Michael, Mark and Matthew. Early on Darrel farmed for Milford Carlson and then later worked for the railroad and the Dawson County Department of Roads as an operator and later as a supervisor. He enjoyed remodeling homes and renting out many of them. Darrel attended Kingdom Hall for many years in Lexington, NE
On June 15, 1985 he married Lucy Schwarz.
Darrel loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly and always lit up when they came to visit. They truly were the light of his life.
Survivors: Mona Rae Payne of West Palm Beach, FL, Michael and Mark both of Cozad, and Matt (Angie) Buesing of Gothenburg. Stepchildren Teresa (Gary) Smith, of Gothenburg, Ron Schwarz of Lexington, Kathy (Tim) Lord of Indianola, Charlie (Denise) Schwarz of Clovis, CA, Troy Schwarz of Gothenburg; Ten grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; sister Francis Junker; and many step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, George, mother, Margaret, sister, Iona, and an infant brother.
Masks are required and all CDC guidelines and current DHM'S will be followed.
Memorial services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, 620 Tenth Street, Gothenburg, NE, Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 2:00 PM.
Inurnment will follow in the Gothenburg Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Gothenburg Meals on Wheels.
