Darold Ray Ebmeier, 79, of Maywood, Nebraska, died May 28, 2020 in Maywood.
He was born November 9, 1940 in Holdrege, NE, son of Ernest E. and Ruth (Kehr) Ebmeier. Darold attended Bertrand Elementary and graduated from Bertrand High with the class of 1959. He then went on to earn his Bachelor's from Kearney State College in 1963. He moved to Maywood, NE in 1964 where he made his home. Darold married Mary Ann Lemmon on July 30, 1966 at Crawford, NE and the couple had three children - Laura, Benjamin and Calvin. Darold was a farmer and rancher at heart and always enjoyed a good cattle sale. He was the owner of DE Feed Store and Mr. E-Z restaurant; he also worked at the Maywood Elevator. Darold was a member of the Maywood Lions Club and served on the Maywood School Board. He enjoyed watching Fox News and RFDTV. He loved sports especially baseball and Nebraska Football; he was a manager of the Kearney State College football team.
Survivors include wife, Mary Ann Ebmeier of Maywood, NE; daughter, Laura (Garrett) Nokes of Mc Cook, NE two sons, Benjamin (Mindy) Ebmeier of North Platte, NE; Calvin (Charlee) Ebmeier of Whitney, NE; his grandchildren - Trevor and Parker Nokes; Dalton, Macie, Derek and Bentlie Ebmeier, Hudson and Harper Ebmeier; sister Betty (Allen) Babcock of Scotia, NE, along with extended family and friends.
Darold was preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Delmar and Francis Ebmeier; his in-laws Calvin and Florence Lemmon and sister-in-law Jean Lemmon.
Visitation will be held at Blase-Wetzel-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Curtis, Nebraska; Monday, June 1, 2020, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
Graveside services will be held at Maywood Cemetery, June 2, 2020 at 10:00 am with Pastor Jeff Kelly officiating.
Memorials may be given to the Maywood Lions Club.
