Danny Messersmith

Danny Ray Messersmith, 55, of Oberlin, KS, formerly of Maywood, NE, died September 11, 2019 in North Platte, NE.

Danny was born July 9, 1964 at Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin, KS to Larry and Janice Messersmith of Maywood, NE.  Danny grew up in the Maywood area and graduated from high school.  He married Tina Hixon and they had a son Keith Lee.  Danny was a truck driver and spent many years driving around the country.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lewis & Annabel Messersmith and Gerald & Violet Berry; 4 uncles, an aunt, and a stillborn infant sibling.

Survivors include his parents Larry & Jan Messersmith of Maywood, NE; son, Keith Messersmith of Oberlin, KS; step-son Dustin Way Hixon of Atlanta, NE; two brothers Brad Lee (Amber) and Van Messersmith of McCook; sister Vicky (Gaylen) Huntley; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Danny's name to Blase-Wetzel-Strauser Memorial Chapel , 317 Center Ave, Curtis, NE 69025.

Private family services will be held.
