Biography
Danny Dale Donner, 58,. of Farnam, NE, died on Wednesday, February 28, 2007. He was born on April 3, 1948 in Gothenburg, NE to Argil and Lilly R. Houser Donner. He grew up in Farnam and graduated from Farnam High School. He served in the U.S. Army from March 1966 to April of 1977. He had two tours in Vietnam, Germany and in the states, Washington, California, Florida, Kansas and Colorado.
After his discharge Danny worked doing road construction, as a cook, and at the hay mills. He enjoyed listening to the radio, watching television, gardening and flowers.
Survivors include One son Danny of Columbus, NE; his mother Lilly Donner of Farnam. One brother Jim Donner of Farnam; Two aunts: Doris (Albert) Farr of Cambridge and Waunetta Crisman of Gothenburg; One uncle Cliff Houser of Cambridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Argil in 2001.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2007, 2:00 p.m. at the Farnam Cemetery, Farnam, Nebraska with Pastor Cliff Transmeier officiating. Military rites by the American Legion Post #288 of Farnam.
Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel in Gothenburg.
