Dale Larson

Dale Robert Larson, 75, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died March 24, 2009 in Kearney, NE.
He was born September 30, 1933 in Gothenburg NE, son of Laurence August Larson and Ethel Mae (Jagger) Larson.
Dale graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1952. After high school he entered the US Air Force where he served his country for 22 years. While in the service he received his bachelors in Oceanography from a Florida university. He specialized in Nuclear Weapons and was a guidance systems lead tech for missile systems at Cape Girardau. Dale served an extended tour in Vietnam and was chief inspector for the Microwave Relay Stations through out Europe.
After retiring from the Air force, Dale returned to the family farm where he worked as a TV & Electronic installation and service technician. At that time, Dale also gave care to his father who was suffering from Parkinson's. Later Dale was the primary care-giver for his mother during her extended illness.
He lived a half-mile north of the Banner Methodist Church and he was a life-time supporter. He was an avid reader, he loved to tinker on anything electronic, he loved music especially classical and big band. Dale loved his two cats: Charlie and Blue.
Surviving are sister, Maridee Boots of Killeen, TX, niece, Charlotte L. Poss, Great-nephew, Dallas J. Davis, Great-niece, Brooklyn M. Davis, extended relatives and many cherished friends.
Dale was preceded in death by mother, Ethel Mae Mahan, father, Laurence August Larson, infant brother, Gene Norman Larson.
