Cynthia Fisher, 57, of Moorefield, Nebraska, died July 26, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.
She was born September 5, 1956 in Broken Bow, NE, daughter of Clyde and Gloria (Pedersen) Bartak. She grew up in the Anselmo/Merna area and graduated from Anselmo/Merna High in 1974. She lived in Hastings while attending Mary Lanning Nursing School, graduating in 1978. She then moved to Gothenburg for a year where she began her career at the Gothenburg Hospital. Cindy married Robert Fisher at Broken Bow, NE on April 21, 1979 and they made their home at Moorefield.
Cindy started working at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital in 1978 and spent her entire 36 year career as a RN at the Gothenburg Hospital. She was a member of the NE Brain Injury Association, AWANA and Faith Circle. She enjoyed reading, playing games and traveling. She liked to spend time with family especially her grandson Walker.
Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Nebraska; Tuesday, July 29, 2014 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm with the family present from 4-6.
Services will be held at Gothenburg Evangelical Free Church, Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Brian Nicklas officiating.
Burial will follow in the Farnam Cemetery.
