Connie Lucille White, 70, of Eustis, Nebraska, died September 30, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.
She was born July 19, 1941 in Gothenburg, NE, daughter of Howard and Violet (Carr) Hodson .
She attended high school at Platte Valley Academy in Shelton, NE and graduated from Dakota Adventist Academy. She graduated from Union College in Lincoln NE with a degree in Music. She also graduated from University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a Masters in Organ Music.
She worked in California for the University of Southern California. She worked for Aero Space Engineering and Ford Aero Space as a computer programmer. It was there that she met her future husband Col. Ralph White. She was a key member of the programming team that wrote and installed satellite tracking programs in the Cheyenne Mountain Complex in Colorado Springs CO.
She married Ralph White on December 31, 1981 at Colorado Springs, CO. She was a devoted wife and step-mother. After her retirement, Connie & Ralph moved back to Nebraska where she cared for her parents so they could continue to live on the family farm. She was active in the Seventh-day Adventist Church especially in music ministry.
Throughout her lifetime, Connie gave of herself and her means to people in need. She often had foreign exchange students living in her home whom she treated like her children. Connie had a special love for dogs and horses.
Surviving are husband Ralph White of Eustis; brother, H. Kent Hodson of Los Angeles, CA; cousin Thomas Z. Hodson and wife Mary Edna and their son Timothy and wife Becky of Champaign, IL; cousin, Kay E. Hodson of Champaign, IL; step-daughter Jody Carol and husband Wyman Bosworth of League City, TX; step-son Will and wife Sue White of Huntsville, AL; step-grandchildren Andy and wife Heidi Truitt and their three sons Tegan, Riley and Conner; Drew and wife Julia White; Elizabeth and husband Mike Riggs.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents.
