Charles Rosvold

Charles Joseph Rosvold, 64, of Maxwell, Nebraska, died January 7, 2018 at Great Plains Health in North Platte, NE.
Charles Joseph Rosvold was born May 1, 1953 in Norwalk, CA to Marvin and Geraldine (Benson) Rosvold.
Charles grew up in Long Beach, CA where he graduated from University High School.  He then attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lincoln, NE with degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
Charles married Dawna Jo Edson on July 6, 1985 in Farnam, NE.
Charles served his country in the U.S. Army.  He spent most of his working years as a Chemical Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry and then later was a High School Math & Physics Teacher.
Charles enjoyed his children and grandchildren, carpentry, and reading books and making people laugh.
Charles is survived by his wife  Dawna Rosvold, Maxwell, NE ; sons:  Jon Rosvold, Houston, TX; and Derek Rosvold and daughter-in-law Samantha, Round Rock, TX; daughters:  Charise Rosvold and grandaughter Ryan Stanley, Washington, TX; Alysia Franco and son-in-law Art and grandchildren Arjay and Avery, Colorado Springs, CO; Kelsey Bieler and son-in-law Alex and grandson Atticus, Chula Vista, CA; brother John Rosvold, Coeur d’Alene, ID; sisters:  Katy Tyree, Port Orchard, WA; Mary Ann Babin, Coeur d’Alene, ID; Susan Niederwohrmen, Gibsonia, PA; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law:  Randy & Brenda Edson, Farnam, NE; Richard “Dutch” & Kristi Edson, Gothenburg, NE; Kim & Keith Heiser, Lincoln, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Geraldine Rosvold.
Memorial Services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Friday, January 26, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Fr. Richard Benson officiating.
Charles wish would be that memorials are given in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer's Association, 1500 S 70th Street, Suite 201 Lincoln, NE 68506 in memory of his Mother.
