Carolyn J Parker, 69, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died October 21, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.

She was born May 15, 1944 in Lexington, NE, daughter of Arnold and Ruth (Schneider) Woehrle.

She was baptized June 18, 1944 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington and Confirmed on May 25, 1958. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1962. She married Robert Dixon on February 23, 1963 at Trinity Lutheran in Lexington, this union was blessed with a daughter, Kim. He preceded her in death on November 13, 1965. She married Larry Parker on March 16, 1974 at the American Lutheran Church in Cozad this union was blessed with two daughters, Tracy and Barbara. He preceded her in death on September 29, 2007.

Carolyn was a wonderful cook and made the most of family meals and spent days making Christmas sugar cookies. She enjoyed playing Bingo and reading Danielle Steel books. She spent hours working on jig saw puzzles. She liked to watch Wheel of Fortune, mystery shows like, NCIS, CSI, Walker Texas Ranger, Hawaii 5-0, Dancing With the Stars, and all of the Law & Order shows. Most of all she was an avid Husker fan. She enjoyed boating and camping all summer with the family and taught her children to water ski.


Survivors include three daughters, Kim Dewey of Gothenburg, NE, Tracy (Mark) Lichtenwalter of Cozad, NE, Barbara Albertson of Cozad, NE; grandchildren Tyrell and Morgan Dewey of Gothenburg, NE; Alex Parker, of Gothenburg, NE; LaTasha, Larry, Aareyan , Xavier, Nathanial, Ryan Albertson of Cozad, NE; great grandchildren Austin Albertson of Cozad, NE; Charlee Lindholm of Gothenburg, NE; brother, Rich (JoAnn) Woehrle of Lexington, NE; sister, Linda (Paul) Christensen of Broomfield, CO; Cindy (Mike) Hendricks of Lexington, NE; along with nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Dixon, her husband Larry Parker, and her parents.
