Bruce E. Porter, age 54 of Inavale, NE formerly of Gothenburg, died on March 14, 2008.
Bruce Eugene was born on June 25, 1953 at Gothenburg to Norman & Margaret (Norsworthy) Porter. He grew up and attended schools at Powell, WY & Engelwood Co. He joined the US Army and served his country in Korea. After his discharge he worked as a construction worker. He enjoyed all sports; however, Nebraska football was his favorite.
Bruce is survived by his parents: Norman & Margaret of Gothenburg; 2 brothers: Brad (Mary) of Fremont; Bill (Maureen) of Omaha; 2 sisters: Brenda (Russ) Huff of Taipei, Taiwan; Beth (Mark) Jones of Midwest City, OK; and 3 nieces & 2 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Brian.
A graveside memorial service will be held on June 25, 2008 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell.
