Boyd Lynch

Boyd Mace Lynch 77, of Cozad, Nebraska passed away October 26, 2014 at Lexington Regional Health Center at Lexington, Nebraska. He had suffered a massive stroke on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.

Boyd was born November 25, 1936 in Ewan, Washington, to Beryl Mace and Maybelle J (Dettman) Lynch. He attended school in St. John, Washington and served on the USS Shangri -La Aircraft Carrier in the United States Marine Corp from 1954 to 1956.

Boyd was a construction laborer and loved traveling in the western United States. He was an avid reader, especially science journals and books about world history. He married Martha Juanita Brown on November 7, 1971 in the United Methodist Church in Farnam, Nebraska.

He is survived by his wife, daughters, Cecily Belle Lynch, Cozad; Valerie Nell (Michael) DeMarco; grandchildren Mace Michael, and Kensington Belle DeMarco of Gothenburg; two sisters, Gladys Bafus, Vancouver, Washington; Carolyn Hansen of Ohio; two brothers, Royce (Christa) Lynch, Cheney, Washington; Beryl (Linda) Lynch, St. John, Washington; two sisters-in-law, Anna Fitzgerald Lynch, British Columbia, Canada; Rosemary Kostman, Kennewick, Washington; four brothers-in-law, Al Rinke, Paxton; Kenneth (Evonne) Brown, Gothenburg; Thomas (Claire) Brown, Tucson, Arizona; Vernon (Janice) Brown, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
Boyd's grandchildren brought much joy to his life, he especially enjoyed having breakfast with Mace, discussing plans for the day and the weather.

Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Dolores Hilliard, Bonnie Johnstone; one brother, Alan Lynch; three brothers-in-law, Wesley Hilliard; Douglas Bafus; and David Johnstone.

Boyd will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

Services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, October 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Neil Kloppenborg officiating.
