Bonnie Coleman, 81, of Brady, passed away on September 11, 2009 at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital in Gothenburg, NE.
She was born on November 4, 1927 to Harlow and Loye (George) White at Arcadia, NE. Bonnie graduated from North Platte High School in 1946. On January 27, 1951 she married Albert Coleman at Bonnie's parent’s home in North Platte. To this union three daughters were born: Deb, Mary Lee, and Rae Ann.
Bonnie worked as an Insurance Agent for many years. She was a 4-H leader and on the 4-H council for many years. She was sexton of the Gaslin Cemetery, active with the WWII canteen and active in the WIFE organization. Bonnie enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles and her coffee. The thing she enjoyed most was spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, which is where she spent most of her time over the last 20 years.
Bonnie is survived by two daughters Deb (Dan) Christensen of Brady, NE; Rae Ann (Mark) Gronewold of Griswold, IA; six grandchildren: Shelly (Scott) Godbey, Missy (Ken) Baye, Megan (Corey) Leiberth, Matt (Rachel) Christensen, Jake Gronewold, Joel Gronewold; four great grandchildren: Jamie, Jordan, Madison, and Dawson; two great-great grandchildren Justina and Skylar; sister Jean Stark of North Platte, NE; and special nieces Pam Wescoat and Lisa Wescoat.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert Coleman, daughter Mary Lee Coleman, and a great-granddaughter Jenna Max.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2009 9:00 am - 8:00 pm with the family present from 6-7 pm at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, 2:00 PM at the Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska, with Pastor Larry Viter, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Gaslin Cemetery.
