Bill Dishman

Billy Buster Dishman, 72, of Gothenburg, NE, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 21, 2009.

Bill was born on June 22, 1936, in Mason City, NE, to Homer and Althea (Wright) Dishman. Bill grew up and attended school in Gothenburg. In 1958, Bill married Elma Jean Johnston in Broken Bow, NE.

Bill lived in Napa, Idaho from 1969 to 1971 then moved back to Gothenburg.

Bill worked as an Appliance Repair Technician, drove truck and installed fence along the interstate. He was a member of the First Church of Christ. Bill enjoyed his family, camping fishing, Shuffle board, and playing pool and cards.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Billy Jo Dishman, , a daughter-in-law, Roxanne Dishman, a brother, Albert, three sisters, Irene, Marie and Elsie, two grandchildren, Mitchell and Savanna, and one great-grandchild, Austin.

Survivers include his loving wife Jean of 51 years, two sons: Randy and Linda Dean of Alliance, NE, Danny Johnston of Boise, ID, daughters: Rosemary Carlson and Herb Russell of North Platte, Jenny and Tony Beer of Elm Creek, Vivian and Lee Kolb of Gothenburg, Connie and Alex Romero of Cozad, Jessie and Steve Seifer of Sutherland, Carolee and Aaron Martin of Sutherland and Aprilee and Lonnie Deaver of Azle, TX, brothers: Harold Dishman of Laramie, WY, Virgil and Lile Dishman of Council Bluffs, IA, Al and Lynda Dishman of Gothenburg, David and Barb Dishman of Gothenburg, sisters: Violet and Charles Mladek of Cozad, Bertha Poen of Gothenburg, Lucy and Dick Sabin of Lexington, sister-in-law: Margret Dishman of North Platte, 28 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
