Bernice Nadean Burnett, 91, of Brady, Nebraska, died July 22, 2017 in Brady, NE.
She was born March 6, 1926 in McClellan, AR, daughter of Jesse T. and Elizabeth (Hollingsworth) Stacks.
Bernice grew up in Arkansas and later moved to Freeport, TX in 1951. In 1963 she moved to Nebraska. She was a cook and waitress for multiple generations in the Brady community. Bernice had a love for gardening and always enjoyed canning the vegetables she harvested from her garden.
Surviving are daughter, Deborah C. (King) Owens of Brady; son, Robin W. Burnett of Brady; three grandhcildren; two great-grandhcildren; sister Billie Jeann Burnet of Georgia; along with many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Bernice was preceded in death by her daughter Bobbie F. (King) Brown, son, Robert F. King Jr., her parents, four brothers, Jesse T. Stacks Jr., MG Stacks, Bobby Wayne Stacks, and John Calvin Stacks; two sisters, Norma Dodge, and Margaret Preston, and granddaughter Dawn Johnson.
Private family graveside services were held at the Brady Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Brady Fire Department.
