Arnold Buss

Arnold William Buss, 93, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died March 25, 2013 in Gothenburg, NE.

He was born August 15, 1919 in Eland, WI, son of William and Francis (Gracyalny) Buss. He grew up at Eland, WI and graduated from St. Elizabeth's high school in Milwaukee in 1933. He served in the US Army from 1941-1945 and served in the Battle of the Bulge. He married Alberta Esther Gust on September 14, 1946 at Mother of Perpetual Help in Milwaukee. He lived in Wisconsin, in Milwaukee, Palaski, Cedarburg, Newburg, and West Bend. They lived in Kingman, AZ from 1988-2006. They moved to Gothenburg in 2006.

Arnold worked as a Factory Supervisor in many different manufacturing facilities.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball, puzzles, gardening.

Surviving are wife, Alberta Esther Buss of Gothenburg, NE, two daughters - Linda (Dan) Butterfield of Gothenburg, NE, Jean (Dan) Schaich of The Villages, FL; four sons - Robert (Donna) Buss of Las Vegas, NV, David (Karenne) Buss of Kingston, MA, Alan Buss of Grafton, WI, Bill (Jody) Buss of Cedarburg, WI; brother - Richard (Doris) Buss; four sisters - Elaine Behnke of Woodstock, IL, Rosalind Wincell of Brookfield, WI, Millie (Edward) Buss of Scottsdale, AZ, Anne-Marie (Mervil) Buss of Milwaukee, WI; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents William & Francis Buss; three brothers, Edward, Mervil, and Lenny Buss.

Cremation was chosen. Inurnment will at a later date in the Arlington National Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the family.
