Anna Delosh

Anna DeLosh age 86 passed away on October 24, 2007 at Gothenburg Memorial Hospital, Gothenburg, NE. Anna was born on February 8, 1921 at Dustin, NE to John Russell and Violet Winifred (Berry) Montgomery. Anna grew up at Stuart, NE and graduated from Stewart high school in 1939.

On May 20, 1939 at Burwell, NE Anna married Orman DeLosh. To this union five children were born; Arleen, June, Lois, John and Richard. They made their home in the Cozad & Gothenburg area. Anna worked as a cook in Gothenburg Cafes and as a nurse's aid in nursing homes in Gothenburg & Cozad. Anna loved to raise gardens and adored her flowers. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting. The most important thing in Anna's life was her family, they were her world. She made sure to visit with each of her children almost Dailey. As much as she loved her children she loved to tease them, Anna had a great sense of humor.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Orman in 1994, a son John, a sister Betty, a brother Wayne and 5 grandchildren.

Anna is survived by: a son Richard (Kay) DeLosh of Grand Island; 3 daughters: Arleen (Dick) Newbrey of Eustis; June (Jim) Sabin of Gothenburg, Lois (Dennis) Beran of Grand Island; 2 sisters: Ella (Glen) Noonan of Maple City, MI; Lily (Ken) Schleicker of Scottsbluff, NE; 18 grandchildren, 29 great grand children; many great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 26 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm, Saturday, Oct. 27, Banner Methodist Church, Gothenburg, Nebraska, with Pastor Janie Freeman officiating. Burial will take place in the Peckham Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Gothenburg Memorial Hospital Long Term Care or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
