Alice Marie Hutchinson

Alice Marie (Sheffield Soller) Hutchinson 104, of Gothenburg, NE, passed away May 1, 2023 at Hilltop Estates, Gothenburg, NE.

Alice Marie (Sheffield Soller) Hutchinson was born south of Farnam, NE; on February 16,1919 to Oliver A. and Cora E (Brown) Sheffield.

She attended grade school in Orafanio, NE; and graduated from Farnam High School in 1936. Alice was baptized in the Church of God in 1938, and later in 1960 she was confirmed and joined the 
American Lutheran Church in Gothenburg, NE.

Alice married Albert Soller in 1941, and after his death in 1985, she met Roy Hutchinson and they married in 1994.

Alice was a very talented artist in oil and in porcelain. She also did some leather tooling, and was a member of three Art Clubs where she taught some classes.

She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Albert Soller and Roy Hutchinson, her parents, Oliver and Cora, her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Beverly Soller, grandson Mike Soller, great-grandson Gauge Soller, brother and sister-in-law Wilbur and Helen Sheffield, three sisters, baby sister Alta Mae Sheffield, Ruth and Dale Russell and Pearl and Clifford Nickerson and several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by a grandson Patrick Soller, two great-granddaughters Katy and Annie and their families, nephew, Roland (Jan) Sheffield, five nieces, Detta Holscher, Sharon (Ronnie) Peterson, Dianne (Orv) Wiberg, Cheryl Beckius, and Priscilla Meester, several great nieces, nephews and cousins, and Roy's daughter Emily Nelson.

Memorials may be directed to the Gothenburg Senior Center or American Lutheran Church in Gothenburg 

Services will be Friday, May 5, 2023, at 1:00 PM, at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, 620 Tenth St, Gothenburg, NE, with Lonna Grabenstein PMA Officiating
